  8.                           THE WAITING FOR CALLER SCREEN

  11.      Other  than being pretty colorful,  TriBBS's Waiting for Caller screen
  12.      allows the sysop  to perform a great deal of board maintenance without
  13.      even having to  log on to the  board.  The  Waiting for Caller  screen
  14.      performs these maintenance operations by calling TriMan.  The  Waiting
  15.      for Caller screen is divided into three major parts.

  18.      The Waiting for Caller Screen Menu

  21.      The  top portion  of the  screen is  the Waiting  for Caller  menu and
  22.      allows you to select one of the following 12 options:

  24.      Drop to DOS
  25.      Configure Node
  26.      Edit Conferences
  27.      Local Logon
  28.      Edit Users
  29.      Edit Events
  30.      Configure System
  31.      Edit File Areas
  32.      View Callers Log
  33.      Pack User File
  34.      Exit TriBBS
  35.      Pack Message Base

  37.      As you already know from installing TriBBS, a menu  option is selected
  38.      by moving the double-lined  border to the desired option  and pressing
  39.      <ENTER>.  Each of these  ten menu options will now be explained one at
  40.      a time.

  43.      Drop to DOS
  44.      -----------

  46.      The "Drop  to DOS" menu option  will temporarily shell out  to DOS and
  47.      allow you to enter  DOS commands.  You can return  to TriBBS by simply
  48.      entering EXIT at the DOS command  prompt.  You should note that TriBBS
  49.      takes  the phone off the  hook when the  "Drop to DOS"  menu option is
  50.      selected and will put  it back on the  hook when you return  from DOS.
  51.      This will give any callers a BUSY signal while you are shelled out  to
  52.      DOS.
